WARRANTY STATEMENT AND RETURNED GOODS PROCEDURE

GENERAL WARRANTY STATEMENT

The primary purpose of this warranty policy is to identify for our customers, the procedure to follow when seeking warranty service or replacement parts from Reading Equipment & Distribution Co.

MANUFACTURERS LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE

Products manufactured by Reading Equipment & Distribution are warranted to the original purchaser/consumer, to be free from defects in material and workmanship, for a period of (1) one year from date of invoice. Warranty will include labor and materials when proper use, application and maintenance procedures are followed.

Products distributed by, but not manufactured by Reading Equipment & Distribution, will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the original manufactures warranty, and are not warranted for any other purpose. Reading Equipment & Distribution will provide warranty service action for the equipment from Reading Equipment & Distribution, on behalf of and subject to corresponding terms and conditions of respective manufacturers. Such terms and conditions vary by manufacturer and are available from Reading Equipment & Distribution.

Please Note: All body mounting bolts should be checked after 90 days in service per manufactures specifications.

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE:

Warranty work and replacement part consideration must include the following:
  1. Authorization/RGA No. supplied by Reading Equipment & Distribution customer Service. No warranty work will be honored without authorization.
  2. Owner’s name, address, phone number.
  3. Dealer’s name & address if purchased thru dealer.
  4. Reading Equipment & Distribution W/O number from serial number plate.
  5. Equipment manufacturers Name, Model No., Serial NO.
  6. Definitive description of problem or failure.
WARRANTY SERVICES INFORMATION:

Warranty work and/or replacement part service for items installed by Reading Equipment & Distribution from other manufactures, will be subject to customer invoicing from Reading Equipment & Distribution. Upon successful reimbursement from the respective manufacturer, Reading Equipment & Distribution will credit customer’s account for the corresponding amount.

READING EQUIPMENT & DISTRIBUTION RETURNED GOODS POLICY

Warranty replacement part service is available from Reading Equipment & Distribution Co. to our customers for equipment installed by Reading Equipment & Distribution but manufactured by others.

When warranty part service is requested or seeking part return credit, the following procedure will apply:

  1. Contact Reading Equipment & Distribution Customer Service to obtain proper authorization or RGA No. as required.
    1. Reading Equipment & Distribution Customer Service will help identify manufacturers part number required to initiate repair and assist in expeditious warranty satisfaction.

  2. Replacement parts will be shipped from Reading Equipment & Distribution stock or direct to customer from manufactures stock. Reading Equipment & Distribution will invoice customer accordingly for replacement materials, but will credit the customer account upon return of defective material and successful reimbursement from the manufacturer.
    1. Rejected manufacturer’s claim will, after Reading Equipment & Distribution review, render Reading Equipment & Distribution customer invoicing current and customer will be expected to remit accordingly.

  3. Reading Equipment & Distribution will not accept invoices for unauthorized repairs or accept unauthorized returned material.

  4. Material returned to Reading Equipment & Distribution for credit consideration must have an RGA No assigned, be returned prepaid and will be subject to a 15% re-stocking charge.
